Random thought, I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Cocoa sits at 802.9 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 19,330 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Maple Ridge area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The nightlife scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Springfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community
- The traffic scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
