Anyone work in healthcare in Coconut Creek?

I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Coconut Creek sits at 131.3 per 100K. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely decent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Midtown) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for family and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The nightlife is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Dallas it's hit or miss.
