Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Coconut Creek sits at 131.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $2,011 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in education. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Definitely worth checking out..

I work in government here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
