Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Cody sits at 172.3 per 100K. Household incomes average around $68,676 in Cody. You can expect to pay around $1,039 for rent here. Poverty rate is 8.0%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? Appreciate any input. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely average and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (East) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Riverside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The cost of living scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
