Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Coeur d'Alene sits at 252.6 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
