First time home buyer in Cohoes

Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $62,111 in Cohoes. With a population of 18,043, Cohoes is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to New York it's underrated.

Bought a house here in 2024 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
