First time home buyer in Cohoes

Curious what people think. Just moved here 10 months ago and The median home value here is around $209,400, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $1,179 for rent here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $62,111 in Cohoes. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good schools
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Not very walkable
- Not enough green space
Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
