Is College Park worth moving to in 2026?

Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and Median household income is $48,505, which feels on the lower side for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. What would you do? Appreciate any input.

I've lived in East for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community
- The nightlife scene is decent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is decent in most areas.
