Is it worth buying in College Park?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and With a population of 13,969, College Park is a small town. The median home value here is around $314,500, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.
