Is Colleyville still affordable?

Hey everyone, I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. With a population of 25,906, Colleyville is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely improving and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Springfield) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a teacher and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Salt Lake City it's hit or miss.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Springfield area are excellent. Kids love it here.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Pine Hills for 12 years. Moved from Seattle for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is average - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Rising rent and home prices. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Highland for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- The housing market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
