Honest thoughts on life in Collinsville

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $979 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Collinsville sits at 261.3 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 15 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
