Is Colonial Heights worth moving to in 2026?
Alright, Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Westside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The traffic scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
