Best neighborhoods in Colonial Heights

Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 3 months ago and Rent is about $1,162/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
