Anyone work in healthcare in Columbia?

So, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $107,922 in Columbia. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a lawyer and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is decent and there's always something going on.
