Considering Columbia vs Baltimore -help me decide

Longtime lurker here, I'm originally from Denver and With a population of 106K, Columbia is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Columbia sits at 593.4 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
