First post here. Median household income is $129,173, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The public transit scene is tough
The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in legal. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
