I've been living in Columbia, MD for 2 years now and honestly, there's a lot to love. The downtown area has been revitalized. The community here is solid and supportive. If you're thinking about moving here, feel free to ask me anything.

Check out the Downtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Coming from New York, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Cedar Hills. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

As someone who moved here from Dallas, I can confirm most of this. The cost of living surprised me the most.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
