The truth about Columbia — honest review
Been a Columbia resident for 4 years. Here's my honest take:
Pros:
- Friendly community
- Low crime in most areas
- Nice parks and trails
Cons:
- Some areas are rundown
- Limited nightlife
Overall I'd rate it 8/10. It's not perfect but I really enjoy living here.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Pine Grove and Riverside are perfectly safe.
