Anyone work in healthcare in Columbia?

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $261,700, which seems about average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Appreciate any input.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I work in consulting here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is challenging. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much stable but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in real estate. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Southern.

No regrets on my end..
