Hey everyone, Been living here since 2017. You can expect to pay around $1,092 for rent here. Household incomes average around $61,204 in Columbia. It's a a smaller city city with about 43,971 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
