Columbiana quality of life -am I missing something?
Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $890 for rent here. The median home value here is around $237,800, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Phoenix about 5 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is tough.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Feel free to reach out with questions..
