Weekend activities in Columbus?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 15.0%, which is around average. With a population of 204K, Columbus is a mid-size city. Average temperature is around 66°F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,072 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in South area are tough. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the North side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The public transit scene is decent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

I work in engineering here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is average. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
