Random thought, We have two kids and It's a a smaller city city with about 51,104 people. You can expect to pay around $1,135 for rent here. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 9.4%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
