The median home value here is around $463,200, which is pretty steep. With a population of 64,640, Commerce City is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from San Francisco about 13 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much pricey but now it's surprisingly good.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Fairview area are solid. Kids love it here.
