Best areas to explore in Commerce?

I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $233,900 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Commerce sits at 244.2 per 100K. Median household income is $61,286, which feels about average for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Appreciate any input. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely excellent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Riverside) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
