How is Concord for outdoor activities?

First post here. I've been here for 9 years and It's a a mid-size city city with about 124K people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in Old Town for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The dating scene scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..
