Moving from Phoenix to Concord next month

Just moved here 3 months ago and Rent is about $1,365/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $84,752 in Concord. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much growing but now it's improving.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in West for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is tough

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
