Remote worker thinking about Concord

Hey everyone, I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Concord sits at 121.7 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Denver it's average.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Meadowbrook area are solid. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2020 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much reasonable but now it's improving.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Tampa it's hit or miss.
