Concord is underrated, change my mind

Hey, Household incomes average around $83,701 in Concord. You can expect to pay around $1,360 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The traffic scene is tough

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like seafood.

No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Fairview for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The food scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 6 years. Moved from Minneapolis for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Chain restaurants dominate. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 7/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.
