Just moved to Conehatta, any tips?

So, I relocated for work and It's a a small town city with about 1,110 people. Median household income is $45,565, which feels on the lower side for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I work in healthcare here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is improving. Feel free to reach out with questions..
