What Connellsville does better than anywhere else

Hey everyone, I've been here for 16 years and Household incomes average around $47,176 in Connellsville. You can expect to pay around $665 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely excellent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Sunset) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
