Remote worker thinking about Connerton

With a population of 7,159, Connerton is a small town. Homes are going for about $437,000 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Should I be concerned? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Houston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Pittsburgh it's surprisingly good.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The cost of living is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
