Is Conroe worth moving to in 2026?
I work in manufacturing and Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $283,100 on average. With a population of 96,976, Conroe is a smaller city. Median household income is $75,245, which feels about average for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I overthinking this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
