Is it worth buying in Conroe?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've been here for 9 years and It's a a smaller city city with about 96,976 people. Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 14 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.
