Hello, I've been here for 9 years and Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $724,500, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $724,500 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I work in real estate here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is hit or miss. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The nightlife is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Dallas about 10 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
