Is public transit usable in Converse?

I relocated for work and It's a a smaller city city with about 28,764 people. Homes are going for about $240,100 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
