What's it really like living in Converse?

Curious what people think. I've been here for 19 years and Rent is about $1,601/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $88,060 in Converse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
