Why I chose Convoy over bigger cities

Been meaning to ask this. Just moved here 8 months ago and Median household income is $56,250, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $92,400, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $763/month for a decent place. With a population of 1,009, Convoy is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events

Cons:
- High property taxes
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
Any advice would be great. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Eastside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
