Just moved to Conway, any tips?

My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Conway sits at 199.8 per 100K. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Springfield. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
