Is Conway worth moving to in 2026?

OK so With a population of 26,082, Conway is a smaller city. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great BBQ places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in Downtown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- The weather scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2018 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Atlanta it's pretty good.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 47, moved here 8 years ago from New York. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The nightlife situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for singles. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
