Cooper City job market vs Cleveland

Longtime lurker here, Median household income is $122,565, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $122,565 in Cooper City. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Midtown area are excellent. Kids love it here.

I'm a social worker and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor recreation is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 14 years. Moved from San Francisco for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is tough - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Dating scene is rough. And dating scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in tech here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is better than expected. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 47, moved here 1 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Springfield and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Strong job market in several industries
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The weather situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for retirees. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $50K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in education. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 10 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into running, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've lived in Uptown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Affordable housing options
- The housing market scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
