I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,392/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? TIA! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Westside area are excellent. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
