Rent in Coos Bay getting crazy
Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $986/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $272,100 on average. It's a a small town city with about 15,867 people. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $55,292 in Coos Bay. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

- Limited nightlife

The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
