Copperas Cove in the winter -how bad?

We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,022 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Copperas Cove sits at 394.6 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. TIA! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 15 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is improving in most areas.
