Honest thoughts on life in Coral Springs

Hey, I'm single, late 50s, and Average temperature is around 75°F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Coral Springs sits at 144.5 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,951 for rent here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 134K people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Lack of diversity
- Boring for young people
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
What would you do? Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Came here for family and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The cultural scene is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much wild but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..
