How is Coral Springs for outdoor activities?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I work in finance here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is challenging. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

Came here for work and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The food scene is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Baltimore about 10 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Phoenix it's hit or miss.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely tough and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Old Town) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
