So, I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 24,051 people. You can expect to pay around $1,707 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Would love some local perspective. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is challenging in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
