Anyone regret moving to Cordele?

Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2010. Homes are going for about $110,700 on average. The median home value here is around $110,700, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 10,107 people. Household incomes average around $31,564 in Cordele. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any help is appreciated. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Westside) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
