Life in Coronado as a young professional

Alright, I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts. Appreciate any input. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in education. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in North for 10 years. Moved from Seattle for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. North schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Road conditions need improvement. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
