Corpus Christi in the winter — how bad?

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2008. Median household income is $66,325, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 74°F, so it's warm year-round. The median home value here is around $197,100, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $197,100 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,230 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. Looking forward to hearing from you all. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.
